From 28th February – Sewciety

We are starting a workshop that is catered to youth called “Sewciety”. The aim is to create a Sewciety of youth to become more aware of their surroundings, learn a new skill and use their creativity to create something new. Sewing is a sensory experience and good for our mental health. It is meditative and a skill to have for life. Creating more awareness around waste and normalising the idea of reusing clothes and reinventing them in many ways. The workshop will run for 6 weeks from Tuesday 28th of February, 3:30pm – 6:30pm.

Each week we’ll focus on building the skillset so youth will be able to create their own bucket hat by the end of it that they can keep, showcase and take home.
